It all started back in 1967

Lowe Alpine was born in 1967 in the Colorado work shed of climber Greg Lowe. Though we’ve since expanded to become an international company, we retain Greg’s vision and enthusiasm. Among our staff you’ll find rock climbers and alpinists, mountain bikers and skiers, trail runners and canoeists.

We choose to innovate rather than follow the crowd. In our book, function comes first and if that means creating an entirely new concept then so be it. What other outdoor company can claim world-beating innovations such as Triplepoint Ceramic waterproof/breathable fabric, Aleutian insulation, Dryflo underwear, APS back systems, Crossbow stabilization - the list goes on.

1967 Greg Lowe developed a revolutionary pack based on an internal frame. More innovations followed. Compression straps, stabilizers, buckles and length-adjustable backs.
